Dear Boland School Families,
Welcome to the remote learning resources that have been collected by grade level for your children to access during this time of school closure. We hope that you will visit the grade level pages weekly to find activities that will help your child continue his or her learning.
Student Expectations:
- Visit their grade level webpage everyday.
- Complete an assignment or learning activity each day during the week.
- Try and follow a consistent schedule for time on learning each day. For example, the student will have academic for two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon. Of course, do what works best for your child.
- Remember, if you child has any question about anything, especially remote learning activities, they can email their teacher or leave a message for them on Class Dojo.
Here are some ideas for how parents can support their children's learning:
- Remember to create a consistent schedule for children to create a structure that nurtures their mental and academic health.
- Encourage and hold your child accountable for completing assignment and activities.
- Try and monitor screen time by choosing online and offline learning experiences. Get outside everyday!
- Have your child show and explain what they are doing, or have done, and help where you can.
- Find time to read together as a family, or have a discussion about a new topic that they show interest in.
If you're not connected on Class Dojo yet, email your teacher and they can help you!
We love and miss your children! Let us know if there's anything we can do to support them and your families during this time.
Love,
The Boland School Staff
